I started writing songs when I was a kid. I remember at 11 or twelve making up lines to melodies, and singing them out loud when I was on my own. It gave me a great feeling, like I was a part of something much bigger than me. Last night, a melody in my head gave me exactly the same feeling. I don't know what it is, but music makes me feel good. That's why I sing, and play and write.
