I bought this in Germany. It has a large chrome badge and Chrome top. It is an early U47 Serial no 145. Built in 1950 It came with all original parts. Original M7 capsule, VF-14 tube, original transformer. It has just been serviced by Peter Drefahl in Konstanz (Germany), and, I’ve had the capsule reskinned with PVC and resprayed with gold. I also got a new PSU made for it. I never heard anything like in my life.

When i was a kid I did my first recordings with an electret condenser. While I was fiddeling with the wires to get rid of the wind-like noise, Ole Blue eyes was singing into one of these...
Someone should have told me......
